Zimbabwe's recently fired vice president has been sworn in as leader after more than a week of political turmoil which saw despot Robert Mugabe ousted from power.
Emmerson Mnangagwa, who recently fled the country in fear of his life, made a triumphant return on Wednesday in advance of his inauguration as president on Friday.
The ceremony will bring a final end to Robert Mugabe's 37-year rule.
Mr Mugabe, 93, who had led Zimbabwe from independence in 1980, stepped down on Tuesday after the army seized power and the ruling party ZANU-PF turned against him.
The former president resigned on Tuesday as parliament began a process to impeach him, sparking scenes of jubilation across Zimbabwe.
